I always thought of them as a instrument of torture - where the kids in the back on a long journey can use the remote continually change the track, radio station and volume at any given moment!!
![]() Followed by my calm response of ejected said remote from the vehicle whilst travelling at high speed. ![]() |

So you can sit round the camp fire and change tracks on your head unit without moving and knocking your beer over

I confess to using the remote whn driving as its easier than pressing the tiny buttons on the hu when bouncing up and down.

Each to their own...
When I get my head units out of the new box, the remote goes straight in the bin. Wait a minute.... As I run my iTunes off my phone through a Bluetooth head unit, I often hit 'next' on my phone and not reach over to the head unit. Eureka ![]() |

When converted my ex RAF ambulance into a camper...

I use my remote sometimes because I have a neck problem and reaching aggravates it (even if I am only pushing the next button on the iPhone in its holder on the dash next to the steering wheel). Our blog - http://landytravels.com/
