Oh, also, since when did Stobarts have the Halewood transport contract? Saw one of the car transporters (didn't know they had any actually) full of freeloaders and ewoks.

For some reason the thought occurred to me that the white ones were off to be police vehicles somewhere...

But they look like LHD ones... judging by the position of the fog and reverse light, so they're probably just off to somewhere warmer than here!

Should this count as stalking or voyeurism? I'm undecided.

Yes they were all LHD - they do have police in other countries as well you know. Heck, even our police use Defenders.

And possibly 'trench foot' from all the water ingress...... Not much chance in a Defender.... If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!! Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!! |

On the subject of car transporters laden with Landrovers, you are probably aware that there was an 'incident' (in Police terms) on the A34 near Whitchurch on Tuesday which closed the road in both directions for hours and caused massive delays in both directions. The incident happened when a transporter laden with new Landrovers (mainly Discos, RR and RRS, not sure if there were Defenders on it too) which was being towed by a recovery vehicle broke free and ran out of control through the Armco on the central reservation, in the process overturning and shedding its load.
A 29-year-old man has been arrested and remains in Police custody facing charges of dangerous driving, driving with an insecure load, and cruelty to Landrovers, presumably (though not stated in reports) this is the recovery vehicle driver. One also supposes that a different recovery firm was called out to deal with the accident! A nocturnal photo showing wounded Landies can be seen here:- http://www.itv.com/news/meridian/2012-10-0...ns-on-a34/ |
