Germany 2011 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 SW Baltic Blue
Request for JW Speaker LED photos
Please does anyone have front-on photos of 8700s mounted on a Defender but not switched on?
I'm taking the plunge (and a second mortgage) but can't decide whether to buy chrome or black. Preferably dark coloured defenders Whistle

Cheers for any help

Cheers - nice pics of a very cool Defender - the black lights suit it well Thumbs Up
Mine's not so cool, like this:

so I'd also like to see some chrome ones as well (e.g. to see if they look "standard"...)

you may aswell order the rest of the LED lights whilst your there! mine looks daf with the yelow glow of the side lights and the crisp white light of the LEDs.

Plus it'll help stop the headlights getting nicked and you can do them all at once

Aaaah - but his is "The New Defender" not an old one like mine Laughing

I'm now tending towards chrome as I'm never going to pull off the "cool" look, like you guys. I see the headlights as part of its "face" (there's something like 4 colours there already) and looking at my own photo Rolling Eyes I notice the DRLs and sidelights (not going to be LEDs) look quite "chromy" already.

Wish I had a picture of them fitted on a Defender though... Tell someone you love them today because life is short.

I can/will post pictures of the 8700 Evolution with chrome ring installed on my SVX after 19 October Whistle
That is if the package from Tim/Mobilecentre which should be in transit to me arrives and custom clears before the 18th Whistle Whistle

In the meantime you can see pictures posted by Tim of both versions with/without chrome toward the lower end of page 4 of following thread. Actually it is Daniele's thread and there are many more pictures by himself too....

Where will you order them? I first had checked with Nakatenga, but while you can order them on their website now, I decided to call them first about availability, and they had to admit nothing in stock, and would take more than a month for them to get hold of them. Mobilecentre still show them on their website as available, and Tim was very accommodating if you know what I mean Thumbs Up You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation.

Thumbs Up I'm going for the "yesterday" look (my kids would expect that).
I've PMd Tim about some chrome ones but I fear I'll have to wait, as Eric's had my set Evil or Very Mad Laughing Tell someone you love them today because life is short.

Looks great - loads of character Thumbs Up

Just occurred to me - the reason I don't see many chrome 8700s is 'cos they only just came out. Doh! Rolling Eyes Tell someone you love them today because life is short.
