Wanted: a pair of cheap tyres
I'm looking for a pair of cheap but legal tyres as a stop-gap for my Sankey trailer as the ones that came with it are very cracked. Eventually, it will get wheels and tyres to match my 110 but I'm not ready to lay out on those just yet. Either 235/85 or 7.50 would do. On ordinary steel wheels would be great too, but not essential. Oh, and reasonably close to Bracknell, Berkshire would be ideal Whistle

Anybody got anything suitable cluttering up their garage/workshop/patio? Darren

I am driving across to by Salisbury on Saturday and you could have had a couple of mine for a donation to Help for Heroes but it's still a fair distance from you even then, sorry.

Ken, you got anything cheap on a rim? I had my spare knicked and am just looking for owt safe and capable of getting me home on the back door now so the scrotes don't see it as attractive. Mine had the standard fit contis on but I guess anything will do as it is only "get me home" I am after

Can you also include est for carriage to Huddersfield please.

PM would be fine if you can help out

@LRA

I have three GG TR 235/85/16's at home gathering dust (tyres only, no rims). Two were take offs from mine and the other was acquired following some swapping around with another forum member a while back. From memory 5-6 mm tread across all three and all in reasonable condition.

Can get them to outskirts of Oxford (near Kassam footy stadium, so fairly handy for A4074) during office hours next week. You are welcome to some or all of them for a small donation to a local charity we support Very Happy Jon - 110 td5 [sold]. Currently Defenderless.

Thanks for all of the offers, chaps. Very kind. Unfortunately though, it's just occurred to me that the existing wheels are only 5.5 inch wide so no good for 235 tyres Embarassed So, it's really only 7.50x16's that are going to be a straight swap, which I guess will be less common these days.

It's the Newbury Sort Out weekend after next, so I'll keep a look out there. Darren

You can fit 235s to 5.5" (SWB I presume) rims. The manufacturer wouldn't recommend it, but plenty of people do.

Hmm, I'm not keen, to be honest. I'll see what else crops up over the next week or two. Darren

All sorted now. Picked up a couple of 7.50's on wheels for a good price from eBay, which will save messing about getting tyres fitted.

Thanks for all of the offers though Thumbs Up Darren
