rear cross member
hi all is it ok to replace a crossmember that has allready been replaced some years ago

Depending on the method of attachment it should be fine. It won't be as easy to do as on a clean cut chassis but should only require a little more cleaning up.

It depends on whether the one you are replacing was it's self a like for like swap of the original or not? If it was then ok, if it is a winch carrier welded just behind the rear axle for example then you can put it back to factory just fine if you are keeping the mod but with a new part you may well need an iva unless the car has one for its current configuration. Rhubarb and custard let fly with their secret weapon.
