2006 Defender 90 Td5 Silver LE Zambezi Silver
Propshaft orientation
OK i am worried
i took off and replaced UJ`s on my rear propshaft this evening, when i took it off the sliding joint was closest to the axle, which i suspected was odd? On consulting the Haynes manual, which i do not always trust, the advice was to have the sliding joint closest to the transfer case, which is what i would have expected. Did a previous owner install it back to front? is the haynes manual correct? am i going mad?
Any definative answers welcome:) thanks
Kev

Looks like we're working in unison, spent last evening under my TD5 replacing the propshaft and had the same question. !

Sliding joint goes nearest the transfer box - that's the way mine came off and yes Haynes manual does state it goes on that way. 2007 TD5 90 Hard Top
