WiFi sounds good, any other features (over the better resolution), that are worth having on the HD2..?

i know its not really necessary for mounting on a defender but there is another camera worth considering, the contour, they have just released the new model, and the features i think are better than a go pro, ive had the hd for about 2 years now and a hd2 since it was released, have final cut pro and a host of other fancy software for editing so get some real quality edits out of it, all mountain bike / ski vids tho.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=--oIU1rHc3w...ature=plcp

all this was shot on hero2's, they do have a tutorial on how to achieve a similar quality but its a long process unless your on a imac with 24gb+ of ram Rolling Eyes my macbook air takes a day to encode / edit / render a 10 minute mountain bike vid

Contour looks good and they have a GPS model plus a neat solution to hook up to your phone to use it as a view finder.

Cheers

KILLER90.

What exhaust system do you have on your 90? It sounds great. I'd love to get get the same.

Sounds like a TD5Alive system... A friend had an exhaust put on by them and it sounds the same but his is quieter... Am I right?

The contour is not ideal, you can't switch from moving (movie) to still (camera) without plugging it in a Pc.
My mate has one and when he was out on the jet ski, he was annoyed at it and said 'that's why the GoPro is better.

We have just had the GoPro wifi packs in at work (it's mint working with things you love Mr. Green )

Ok, good to know the limitations of the Contour.

I hear lots of talk about complex software and rendering times to edit/upload videos, I thought it would be a simple task to upload vids direct from camera. Is that not the case..?

if thats purely what you want to do, shoot and directly upload its fine, but if you want to do anything even the basics, like shortening or adding music, it is a long process.

VeeTee - That looked fantastic. Couldn't believe my eyes when I saw how many Defenders were queued up on the left! What a venue too!

Here's is my meagre snow picture from North Devon.....although this was on the drive home from the airport following a trip to Palm Springs where the temp had been in the low 30's, which was enough of a shock.
