Hi Glynne,
I love the longer seat bases as they are so much more comfortable, however as im on the larger size, i best not eat many more pies as they are a nice snug fit! These are the older style mind, i think Bob nevilles are less heavily bolstered You cannot teach stupid people to do clever things |

Have you fitted the seats since yesterday? Looks like it was a busy and expensive day for you. Peter

I notice that gas strut mounts to the same bolt hole as a nato hitch. Sonic - you've got a sankey modified trailer haven't you? I assume that mounts with a nato hitch onto the rear X-member. How have you managed that? One that started out as a 2.4 TDCi 110 XS

Al, the Nato hitch wont fit with a gas strut, Mat has a safari equipe reciever that you then connect the nato jaw to, you can then use the 2 top holes to mount the strut
How you getting on with the Mantec guards by the way?, any pics? You cannot teach stupid people to do clever things |

Makes sense.
Mantec guards are genius. I wrestled all weekend with the OEM cargo barrier (virtually nothing lined up - I still need to re-cut the threads to most of the bolts and extend the bracket holes. i'll detail some fitting instructions when I've ironed out all the ludicrous amendments. Mantec guards are very easy - self tappers in the rear door and you just need some adhesive (recommend "no more nails" adhesive pads) to attach the window guards. They've not yet manufactured the 3/4 window guards (either side of the back door) but they'll be out in the New Year. Again, I'll post pics when I have them installed. Have to say it's a bit odd looking the rear view mirror at Fort Knox but I feel a lot safer with the load bay full of crap and my son riding in the rear. One thing to note - i have the 3rd row of seats fitted to my 110 and there's precious little leg room with the load guard in place. You could do it for VERY short haul but you wouldn't want to travel for more than 10 mins with the guard pressing against your shins. Al I found the Guard fine if all the locating bolts were finger tight until the upper & lower guards were in place then I methodically went round and tightened them up
Cargo Guard was the first mod then tailgate window Guard 5 Weimies need a cage Agree looking back in fun so I treat it like a van and rely on the exterior mirrors just need to sort out heated versions |

Funny you should say that - with the cargo guard in place, spare wheel on and dirty rear window the rear view mirror is totally useless for anything other than just about seeing the flashing blue lights of the Filth about to scream past on the A12.
