Come on folks, 107 views but no comments
Am I way out on the price for this? The rack cost £1004 and the spot lights were £320 so all in all I dont think £700 for the rack or £900 for the rack and lights is out of the way, especially as they are only 3 months old Open to sensible offers though Gas, Grass Or Ass - Nobody Rides For Free "UNDERSTEER" ----is when you hit the fence with the front of the car. Since you've asked, I think £700 is too much for one of those racks 2nd hand. The fact that they're so expensive when new doesn't really seem to have much bearing on it as, whilst they look good, they're ultimately not as useful as something like a Patriot or Hannibal. They typically seem to go for between £400 and £500 - I know as I sold one earlier in the year for that sort of money.
Similarly with the lights, I'd imagine you'd be lucky to get 50% of their new value and even then you may have to wait for a while for the right person to come along. Oh, given they'll most likely need collecting, then telling people where you are might help too. 'England' in your profile is somewhat vague. Well if this is true then I will just keep it on the Defender, having said that a one that was 18months old with a few scratches sold on here for £575 or so it would seem Anyway, it makes no difference to me really, just thought I would let someone that wanted one have an as new one cheaper than a new one As for the lights at £200 that is nearly half the original price but again if the rack stays on the Defender so will the lights. As for where I am, a PM to me would be the simple way to find out but I will change my profile to reflect the fact that I am in the North East Thanks for the info and reply. I agree with Darren, I recently bought a second hand hannibal rack for £500ish...
it would also help if you put a photo of the rack on the advert other than that, there's someone out there somewhere who wants your rack - good luck with the sale |

Hi Russell, good to see you back in a defender. I'd echo comments about the LR rack.
It looks good on the 110 so I'd keep it very handy for extra carrying albeit not as practical as the others with floors. Lights -- 6 months ago I'd have taken them but I have just changed the roof lights for LEDs and hoping today to test a set or Dually D2s for the front . The light force might sell better on the other forums. Best of luck with the sale.
