England 2016 Defender 110 Puma 2.2 XS CSW Montalcino Red
110 OEM Land Rover Expedition Roof Rack System
Hi Folks,

Having recently bought a 110 with an OEM LR Roof Rack system I have decided I will never use the Roof Rack so am looking to sell it to a good home.

It is only 3 months old and in as new condition with no marks or scratches at all.

She is on the 110 at this time and will only be taken off once sold due to storage etc. I will be at Peterborough show on the Saturday only so could swap it over there on the day or alternatively it could be swapped at my home.

She has fitted 4 Light Force 140 spot lights which are for sale on the rack or as a separate sale.

The part numbe rfor the roof rack is VPLDR0064 and these cost £1004 from LR inc VAT so I am looking for £700 without the lights or £900 with them.

Pics below for all those asking to see it Thumbs Up

Come on folks, 107 views but no comments Shocked

Am I way out on the price for this? The rack cost £1004 and the spot lights were £320 so all in all I dont think £700 for the rack or £900 for the rack and lights is out of the way, especially as they are only 3 months old Question

Open to sensible offers though Thumbs Up Gas, Grass Or Ass - Nobody Rides For Free

Since you've asked, I think £700 is too much for one of those racks 2nd hand. The fact that they're so expensive when new doesn't really seem to have much bearing on it as, whilst they look good, they're ultimately not as useful as something like a Patriot or Hannibal. They typically seem to go for between £400 and £500 - I know as I sold one earlier in the year for that sort of money.

Similarly with the lights, I'd imagine you'd be lucky to get 50% of their new value and even then you may have to wait for a while for the right person to come along.

Oh, given they'll most likely need collecting, then telling people where you are might help too. 'England' in your profile is somewhat vague. Darren

Well if this is true then I will just keep it on the Defender, having said that a one that was 18months old with a few scratches sold on here for £575 or so it would seem Exclamation Exclamation

Anyway, it makes no difference to me really, just thought I would let someone that wanted one have an as new one cheaper than a new one Thumbs Up

As for the lights at £200 that is nearly half the original price Exclamation Exclamation but again if the rack stays on the Defender so will the lights.

As for where I am, a PM to me would be the simple way to find out Thumbs Up but I will change my profile to reflect the fact that I am in the North East Bow down

Thanks for the info and reply. Gas, Grass Or Ass - Nobody Rides For Free

I agree with Darren, I recently bought a second hand hannibal rack for £500ish...

it would also help if you put a photo of the rack on the advert

other than that, there's someone out there somewhere who wants your rack - good luck with the sale Thumbs Up

Hi Russell, good to see you back in a defender. I'd echo comments about the LR rack.
It looks good on the 110 so I'd keep it very handy for extra carrying albeit not as practical as the others with floors.
Lights -- 6 months ago I'd have taken them but I have just changed the roof lights for LEDs and hoping today to test a set or Dually D2s for the front . The light force might sell better on the other forums.

Best of luck with the sale. The 110 looks Thumbs Up Defender 110 County SW
