Hello
Last month, on my trip over there, my turbo cover broke. I started hearing some anoying rattle coming from the engine....and spotted what is in the pic below Click image to enlarge Yesterday went to check the price for a new one, and they were closing the store in the end of the day and had everything shut down, but the guy told me that it would cost 100 and some more euros + VAT !? that piece of tin!!!!! My question is, can I remove it and drive withour it ? Or is it really really necessary to have that cover over the turbo? Is there a non OEM part for that ? Oh and can anyone tell me the part n.º for that piece? thanks Regards Joao '10 Land Rover Defender 110 CC '08 BMW F800GS '64 SIIA Forward Control '69 SIIA 109 ZA CKD _____________________________________________ You have the right to remain silent. Heat Shields...
The main section (that goes over the turbo) is JPY500060 - £17.66 + vat retail The lower section that goes around the CAT is WEB500670 - priced at £7.33 + vat Bolts are FS106126 (x2) and FS106126 (x2) Think the parts man is a little bit off on his prices!! In saying that... I'll undercut your dealer, and only charge you 95 euro + vat lol Ian IRB The home of the first modified Keswick Green 90 - and the first 2.4 Puma through both the 200bhp and 550Nm barriers. www.IRBdevelopments.com www.facebook.com/irbdevelopments www.integrated316.com www.facebook.com/integrated316 |

I forgot to mention that it's a 110 Puma Td4 ... Is that the price and part n.º ?
That's a BIG diference! He must have been confusing it with something else as he had his laptop turned off allready! But hey, 95 is still to expensive! Yep... could tell it's a 2.4 Tdci from the picture... They are the right part numbers and prices. I would add a picture, but can't host it at the moment. that might be a great idea to prevent this from happening again! it turns out that the first price was wrong. It costs 20 euros+VAT! he made a mistake with another lookalike part but for the Td5!
