That would work, XDC500070 is the correct part number for footwell lights from an earlier version Range Rover, and two of those were installed on the SVX cubby box as extra interior lighting. I recently bought two extra of those from Britpart for installation in the footwells which will help easier location of the keyhole for my Ardcase in the dark. I am now awaiting hand delivery in person from the UK for these two lights. I would prefer to not use LED bulbs though as finding them too harsh bright and prefer the candle glow of standard bulbs. You just need to install enough of them and all will be cozy inside. You can get "warm" LEDs which don't give the harsh very white light.
I've got a sticky back strip of warm white LEDs lighting up the back of my HT. I bought a kit from Lidl for under cabinet lighting, came with a power supply and 3-4m of the LED strip. I've used a good chunk in my kitchen (wired to come on with the kitchen lights) and 1.5m-ish in the Defender. The LED interior light I've used is about 170mA, the strip is about 170mA so a total of about 350mA, which is half what the original glow worm used. |
