Temporary Leaving the Fold
As the title says time to sell my much loved 110 DC and move on until Land Rover give their head a shake and bring out a decent pick up. Sad
I have bought a 3.2 TDCI Ford Ranger Limited to put me on until Land Rover finally bring out the DC100 hopefully in pick up format. Shocked

But in the meantime at least i will be able to fit my quad in the back, still have a centre and rear difflock, cruise control, better wading depth, better carrying capacity, intregated bluetooth, 200bhp and 470nm torque, lights, dryness, same mpg, still have a winch and decent size mud terrains and still be 4k cheaper than a new 110 DC Very Happy so not all bad news. Thumbs Up

I agree Greeni not being a Defender is the biggest let down, but mines approaching end of warranty, and i didn't want to buy a new 110 DC not with the new DC100 round the corner, whilst not a Land Rover at least it's not a Jap and will fill a gap for a while. I am still a big Land Rover fan but I need a pick up and don't want another 110.

So watch this space for a nice 38k mile 110 DC with full LRSH, 9 wheels Shocked winch locking rear diff, cruise control, air compressor, rear drawers, OME suspension, Alloy top, canvas top and hoops, glove box, tree sliders, plus all original parts. Original Member Pie n Pea Club.

Can't get enough in the back of the 110, certainly can't get my quad in, could have bought a 130 I suppose but I'll wait and see what Land Rover bring out. Original Member Pie n Pea Club.

Limited only available in manual at present but rumours are they will be available later, could have ordered Wildtrak but too bling and an 8 month waiting list. I don't expect it to be as good as my 110 due to limited articulation, but i do expect it to be better than the rest of the pickups available. I have sourced a winch and will be fitting bigger tyres to lift it a further 1.5" which will give me slightly more clearance than the standard 110 but not as good approach and depart angles. It Censored me of that Land Rover seems to have it's head up it's arse as far as working vehicles go, fifty year old design surely they could see that they have lost a lot of the market for pickups etc to other manufacturers. Very good at making flash Range rovers, D4 is brilliant, Freelander 2 excellent but what about the Defender which basically made them.

Don't get me wrong I love Land Rovers but doing 350 mile journeys alot of the time maybe not enough.

Maybe buy a cheap one for working local and playing in. Original Member Pie n Pea Club.

Might not need one as our sister comapny has a Wildtrack that leaves my 110 standing. One down point is that scumbags love them as the cat is so easy to steal!

Heard it was the bloody DPF which is under the driverside, but there is a cage on the market already. Also ARB have got a front locker on the market and a few other goodies, maybe not as many custom bits as a Land Rover but no doubt afew will appear. Original Member Pie n Pea Club.
