Being a sad git with nothing better to occupy my time (must be something to do with the chemo) I have being trying to work out where the parts used on the latest Defender dash came from. Noticed the following for starters:
1. Air vents - Ford Fusion or Mazda 3 / 6 2. Switch gear looks like remnants from the last Rover 25 / 45 upgrade just before they went bust + electric window switches from the last Maestro / Montego. Do LR buy up or secure cheap deals with ex Rover suppliers? 3. Dials - stock Land Rover kit 4. Door grabe handles - mk1 Mini Metro standard 5. Steering column stalks - stock 1970's BL items - look like the ones from an MG for example 6. Steering wheel - mid 80's facelift metro? Anyone daft enough to add to the list? As John above, no airbag ever fitted to Defender, even the new 07 model ! hence why the Defenders shape we all know and love, may have its days numbered California F1, 75th 110 "Kermit", 50th Ann V8, 90 V8 Hybrid, 55 Series 1
