Oh really, thanks for the advise, I knew I'd have to make changes for it to work, just haven't got behind the fascia yet.
When you say "made up", what all was involved? Thanks. |

This is pasted from some of the communications I had.
STOP - DON'T CUT OFF ANY CONNECTORS Modified switch (on its own, without the Black connector) The plug-in relay harness - This would plug-in to the existing hazard switch connector, with 9 x 0.5m length cables to the 3 x relays on mountable relay bases, and 4 x 0.5m length cables from the relays to a Black 5-way switch connector to plug-in to the D2 hazard switch. 3 x automotive relays. This works-out slightly cheaper than using a single 4PCO relay & base - but, the wiring is a little more complicated. It also takes up a little more room - but, is easier to mount in a vehicle. I also had the switch dismantled and the second red LED added so the flash could be achieved (see here http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic42402-15.html ) Paul Mc on here is the man if you want it done. Hope this helps. Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge |

Wow this sounds a little more complicated than what I expected.
I'm not that clued up on the electronics of these Pumas. How much did this whole process set you back if I may ask? I'm really battling to understand those posts but that may be due to lack of understanding, did you require an extra switch behind the dash or am I understanding wrong? Thanks for the advice! |
