Me too. My 110 is more maneuverable than my wifes' old DII, despite the longer wheelbase. Darren

My 90 had the steering stop set so badly at the factory the wheels were over 30mm off the radius arms on full lock.
Took 15 mins to adjust them to about 2mm. |

Ideally put the front axle on stands.
Turn the wheel to full lock (without the engine running) The stops are bolts with locknuts mounted on the rear of the swivel housings. Screw them in until the tyres just miss the radius arms. Then recheck with the engine running. |

My 110 (285's on Boosts with 30mm spacers) has a much better turning circle than my Disco2 (265's on standard alloys, no spacers). The Disco will, just about, manage to orbit a moderate sized planet on full lock. The 110 will orbit a reasonably small asteroid. |

is this correct: if i have wheels with a zero offset they will give a better turning circle than alloys with a +30 offset?

Yes, as long as you adjust the lock stops.

Am gonna try a set of 30mm spacers this weekend but you say they don't improve it?? 1951 80" S1 2.0 1995 110 300TDI 1995 90 300TDI |

Joe,
alloys with 0 off set and alloys with 30mm offset and 30mm spacers are the same thing! (Inner wheel edge will be in the same position if it is the same width of wheel) I had a better lock with std boosts and 265's and 30mm spacers than the new 0 offset Silverline 8" alloys and 285 tyres. Adjust the lock stops to the max for greatest benefit. Keith |

Cheers Keith,
i hope to be participating in the blindo group buy that tig might be organising. if the wheels are suitable i was wanting to put them on the old 300tdi with 235 tyres on them. currently the 300 has modulars which must have a negative or zero offset as the wheels sit right under the spats with no spacers. i would prefer not to use spacers. watch this space...... |
