Slightly off topic, but I always wonder if Land Rover did a base-spec totally bog standard Discovery, if there'd be a lot more LRs working with the UN....

You can get base spec D3's with coil spring suspension. The 4.4 petrol V8 is a pretty good unit as well. Some even come with the B6 armouring.

I just think LR couldn't be bothered dealing with it as an NGO vehicle.
