TD5 G4 110 SW Near Oxford
Spotted a very tidy looking 54 plate (if I can remember correctly) 110 G4 Edition at about 20:30 heading north on the A34 just South of Oxford, got a cheeky wave in as well... I was in the black 110 waiting on the slipway.

I know the numberplates are limited (and consecutive?) and that a couple of people on here know them and who will probably own it haha! But unfortunately I have a sieve for a brain and promptly forgot it after promising myself I'd remember it for here.

Anyone on here?

There where three batches of g4 competition vehicles, 52 plate station wagons with air con, 55 plate station wagons no air con and 08 utility station wagon xs'. All in Tangiers orange, all where 110.

The limited edition vehicles where just after the first event, 90 or 110 station wagons, with an external windscreen protection bar. Usually 53 plates and where available in black, silver, yellow or orange.

But I would dispute the comment that all challenge vehicles were 110, some of the support vehicles weren't John

True, for the 08 event a few 130's where built but only a 2 (?) ever kitted out.

No other Defenders on the first 2 events other than the 110s

Ah right. Well in that case it was a Challenge Vehicle. Can't really remember much more than that I'm afraid!

I did think it could be the James French one... (which I immediately went to go and see when I found out - then remembered I already bought a 110 this year and subsequently have no money) but it was a very long way away from JF... Don't see why they would be so far unless it's been sold already??

I saw one of those 130s on the M6 a while back.... looked very nice. There was one for sale a year or two ago (probably the same one) for £27k Shocked
