Why not do a round robin and encompass both islands of Sardinia and Corsica. Sardinia first then get the ferry to Corsica it's only a short hop. Sardinia being Italian and Corsica French you'll get two holidays for the price of one? I've been to both and must admit Corsica is my personal favourite as it is just like being on the French Riviera. If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

We went in 2008 - I will have a look to see if we have any of the maps still.
There are a number of stunning beaches that you can access via 4x4 only trails. They are well off the beaten track and well worth a look. Pleanty of trails over the hills too. 2002 Defender 110 DC |

Hi Higgers
We've been rubbish! (Brendan was being polite). The Goodwood Festival of Speed, furniture removals and work have all meant we've stayed offline since our return from Corsica (mid June 2012). In short - landy andy is right - "Just Go". There really isn't any reason to continue to read my post 
Fantastic beaches, many of which are only accessible by 4x4 (or walking or mountain bike), stunning landscapes and a fierce sense of individualism. Corsica is a rare example of getting the balance right between cherishing heritage and welcoming tourists. And, the driving is good fun, just watch the locals - they make Italian drivers look sedate! BTW, I've been roaming the globe for the last 7 years, taking in some 47 countries. The island of Corsica is in my Top 5! PM pjh for more info.
