Changing bulb on driving light
Morning all,
was driving home last night and noticed one of my PIAA driving lights had gone out, assume blown bulb.
These were dealer fitted in Peterborough, so maybe others here have tinkered with them.
I know they're PIAA, after some tinternet searching i think they're PIAA 40 ROUND,
my issue is i went to change the bulb, removed two small philips screws on the side of the lamp expecting it all to come apart-but it never. now the screws dont bite onto anything when i put them back in- and the holes covered with tape. Rolling Eyes
cant find any help on PIAA site.
Before I go jamming a screwdriver in and prizing through water seals, has anyone pulled this type apart before and can offer any tips?

thanks Ravers

I could be barking up the wrong tree here but..... are you sure that the whole lens unit doesn't unscrew so to speak like the Lightforce units or Roo's. You probably can't but just wondering it maybe worth a try. Thumbs Up $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R

Cheers Steve,

it didn't just unscrew. There was two grip nuts where the small screws where, thats why they didn't grip when i put them back in. the glass had to be prized out with a small flat head, change buld then glue and tape the grip nuts in place and job jobbed. fun in the rain. Excellent driving lights, but the grip nuts are a poor design. Ravers

Maybe you might consider upgrading to Lightforce or Roo's at some point then. I have Roo's and haven't got a single gripe with mine and the Lightforce models would be just the same. Thumbs Up $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R
