hi all i need some assistance, i won't bore you withe the finer details of why but inorder to keep my life simple i need a lid for my 90 truck cab.
i currently have one that i made from steel but it is very heavy(70kg) and also limits the size of thing i can put in the back as it is only 3 inch high above the body caps, that said it is very strong and it has rails on the top to fasten things to. increasingly though it is becoming more of a pain than it is worth. i am in the market for a lighter taller version, ah i hear you say put an ifor williams top on it, well no, i have one and i hate it, it whistles, is not weather proof and at worst catches on trees or other low objects like carpark rooves and i hate it. so to the question is there a source out there of roof line height swoopy tops like what you might find on dakar racers and certain jap double cabs a sort of aerodynamic(i know its a defender and is as slippery as a block of flats) rear clam? i have looked on truckman's site and ARB' and snugtop's too even been onto qt who make the wildcat but to no avail. help. please. Too box like. However via a few steps I think I mat have one in the form of a tomcat rear roof as they sell such things in kit form. Rhubarb and custard let fly with their secret weapon.
