Couple of fords near me
The longest one in Europe, according to the mags, a very nice but very deep one about 10 mins from my house. I even have a little route that some of us done the other month with about 15 fords. Will look into campsites for you Andy |

Hi TopQ, strangely enough there is a website with them all listed, it depends on if you would like to go out of your way to drive them, there are some fabulous fords and river lanes in Shropshire and North Wales.
Take a look at this website, but it lists lots of them http://www.wetroads.co.uk/long.htm I'm sure some UK people will appreciate that too !!!!!!!!!!! Out of curiosity, what days are you thinking, as we are currently off work for some time |

Hi GREENI
We will enter the night boat on Wednesday. The day after we will be in the UK at 8:00. I have to drive to Trek Overland who will need 4 hours to fit the Trojan Canopy and roofracks. there after I am free I need to bring some paperwork to Central London. I will do that on Friday. Afterwards I will go down and take the boat or train back to the mainland. Best regards Q |

Awww no, if it was earlier in the week we would of been able hook up with you and take you around some lanes..
I'll be around Wales later in the week. Answering your original question, I would recommend the Derbyshire, Tissington ford, it's quite central and set in beautiful countryside. There are plenty of camp sites or b&b's in and around the area as well as places like Bakewell to visit (great pudding) It has a huge area of greenlanes as well as scenic country roads. |
