Tweeter removal.
If I wanted to remove the top of dash tweeters what would be the best way of removing them? There seems to be no way this could be done from the top with out damage so can only assume from underneath maybe there is some clips? Not really got a reason for asking just intereste to know so that if I did have to there would be an easy damage free way of doing it. KEEP CALM AND Drill ON

Ex-kona, (Still preferred the 'old handle' this one's a bit 'cheesy' Smile )

I have upgraded the head unit and stuck in two amplifiers, the original tweeters are up to the job! Unless of course you haven't got any and wish to fit. I can't see the covers being that expensive to replace, gentle prising and once patience runs out 'brute force and ignorance' will prevail, honest!

What could possibly go wrong? Laughing If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

Don't worry I don't want to replace them it is just useful to know in case I did have to remove them. Changin them wouldn't make much difference anyway being so small Laughing KEEP CALM AND Drill ON

Off Topic I suppose it's not really a thread hijack as it's your thread. You asked so here it is:

I was in the Royal Air Force and my trade was originally an aircraft electrician. At a base in Wales an aircraft electrician was asked to babysit for his boss whilst he went to a Mess function. The boss and his good lady wife left leaving said babysitter at home with their child and a pet pooch (quite a large dog). The boss returned home as he had forgotten something to find the babysitter 'back scuttling' the dog.... Shocked

Thereafter ALL electricians were 'tarred with the same brush' and to this day over 30 years later are still called 'Dog F***ers!'
Well as a variation of a theme you can't really have that emblazoned on your T-shirts so I toned it down to K9 Fornicator. For the purpose of this forum I shortened it further to K9F.....I did comment in jest on the 'dogs your pictures' thread and was severely villified by those that didn't see the funny side and obviously love their pooches more than most Dog F***ers I know.....
Whistle

Proof? Go on then...

If you pull out the side de mist heater things, then if you have a blunt object (handle end of a screwdriver) you can push it up towards the top of the dash and push the tweeters upwards and they pop out. I hope that that makes sense!!!

Rolling with laughter The 'ex' was indeed small (in stature) but kept her hair growth in abeyance thankfully. Laughing

Not that I was ever 'whiter than white' but d'you know what? I probably would have got more devotion and loyalty from a little furry bundle of joy with four legs for the same period of time we were married.....That's another story.....

How's the tweeters coming on? Or should that read off? (Not really interested truth be told but comment added just to place it a little way back on topic. Cool ) If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!
