Sump removal
Just wondering is there much work to remove the sump on a td5 90. Just curious as if it's not too much work was thinking of taking it off to clean up some of the oil sludge that I'm sure has built up over the years.

Cheers

This is a Discovery but I imagine the process is identical. Check the oil pump sprocket while your at it.

It its a straight forward process to unbolt but its a bit tricky to manouver out without jacking tha front of the vehicle up for clearance.

Make sure you thoroughly threadlock and torque the bolts back up afterwards, otherwise they have a tendancy to fall out - don't ask how I know. 2002 Defender 110 DC
