My accountant stated that because the defender is essentially a van it is very tax efficient as a company car!
I have asked him to look at car user allowance against company car this year. |

The emission figure for the Defender is the crippler I'm afraid you'll find once the formula's been crunched. 103g/Kg on my current company car at a retail value of £18k equates to about £70 per month tax liability, mine is also 'benefit in kind' so I can use it for personal use.
There are so many mitigating factors but the Defender emissions kicking out 269-295g/Kg does not bode too well. You can reduce it significantly by company advertising logos on your vehicle and not using it for anything but work use of course. If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!! Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!! |
