I don't think it's worth the extra expense. The LT77 is good solid gearbox and rebuilt will see many more years service and the R380 isn't significantly better enough to justify the additional expense.

Yes as above the R380 is not much of a different experience to the LT77 and with all the variations of bell housing and gearnob positions - long short etc, you could find yourself with some sort of compatibility issue to sort out.
Much easier to just rebuild what you have. Parts should be readily available, I would recommend researching the UK suppliers as the shipping cost is easily offset by the cheaper pricing. |
