You can't keep a vehicle uninsured in the UK anymore unless it is declared SORN and the tax surrendered and then parked up off the highway.

No way of doing that. What you can do is declare the mileage..... so if you ony do 2,000 miles a year (not much use) they will cut the quote. But that is the only way...... only other option would be to reduce your cover to third party when you are not using it- what I do when going on tour.

Some companies now offer an insurance by mile type deal where you have a tracker fitted to your vehicle
