Nothing to do with the blades, unless it only occurs on dry screen - rubber sticking - more likely to be the "gearboxes" for each wiper. Had mine replaced eventually - was intermittent at first and only after 15 mins use - but replaced under warranty and now silent. Joy. LANDYWATCH

Mine make a clack noise on direction change as well... It's the blade hitting the rubber under the windscreen. I found a bit of tightening (although a new gearbox may be best if under warrenty) sorted it out.

I'm using Halfords wipers on mine - but with the built in water jets that I made myself from a Nissan Cabstar truck

Am gonna have a look at this.........gearboxes. Funnily enough was watching them closely while sitting in traffic on the M25 and started to think it wasn't the blades......... 1951 80" S1 2.0

familymad this is quite a common problem. Mine has been the same from new - 'clack clack clack'. When it was serviced last week the dealer said there was 'excessive lateral movement' and new wheelboxes are on order - under warranty of course. Most dealers will be familiar with this so I'd get it checked out
