Just testing a new MAF today (another scorcher) but it seems the only way to go Tell someone you love them today because life is short.
But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing... |

Looks like a very good solution, the bad side is they donŽt do exports to PERU, maybe I can make one myself.
What kind of material is on the upper and lower part?? it looks like some kind of vynil or plastic or is it ceramic fiber for heat resistant.??? Augusto Defender 110 TD5 2001 Discovery 4 TDV6 |

Yes I get the lead part, and the interior parts also but the exterior lining is what I will like to know, IŽll make some tests. Augusto Defender 110 TD5 2001 Discovery 4 TDV6 |

It's a sort of heavy-duty woven nylon. I was careful to tuck mine away from the exhaust manifold etc. but I reckon it's pretty heat-resistant. Seems very well made.
I got mine sent to Germany for about 20 quid Tell someone you love them today because life is short. But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing... |

I bought the engine cover for my 90 a few weeks ago, and noticed that the part that hangs over the back of the engine, sits on the egr pipe from the exhaust manifold, and so would get extremely hot. I've not spoken to NK about it, as it's not that high on my priority list, but given the positive comments and feedback for you lot, I know it's the best option available.

Not sure exactly where the EGR pipe runs around there but I folded/curled mine under and around all the hot bits - took a bit of messing about but the lead molds very nicely. It's probably a bit of a compromise but the blanket does work extremely well and no melted plastic Tell someone you love them today because life is short.

My NK blanket folds over the rear of the engine and after 4 hours of fast motorway driving it is only warm to the touch, could easily rest my hand on it. BM52

yep its definately heat/fire proof. Mine's rammed up tight against that hot pipe thing and in 10k miles not a scorch mark. Thats why its so expensive I suppose
