puma booming
ok i've had my puma 110 for a few months now but due to a broken arm only started driving it last week,

how loud is the induction noise supposed to be, with the window down it sounds really loud at mid revs, and on idle
if i stick my ear anywhere near the air intake on the right its chuffing well boomy !

is something up or is that normal ???

Normal. It's fairly noticeable with the window down and obviously you can't miss it if you've got your lughole stuck right next to the intake Laughing Steve.
Owned numerous Land Rover vehicles of all shapes and sizes over the decades.
Current Defender: A non tarts hand-bagged Puma 110 XS USW.

wahooooooo,

man it sounds throaty, i'm so glad its normal i didn't think it was a problem as i bought from a main dealer and it was like that when we picked it up, it's just because until last week i hadn't sat on that side of the van,

Try a performance filter on too you will notice even more growl then Wink

Check that the air box lid is clipped back in place as they are not easy to position

Mines bloody noisy... Kinda in keeping with the agricutural theme of thr Defender!!! I love it!!!! ... ,-------,
