Seems Azerbijan have bought 1,000 London taxis for it's capital city. The man sent over to Azerbizan to oversee the smooth introduction into service was interviewed on radio today. He said that it was fairly expensive car -£29,995 per cab- but it was the only purpose built taxi in the world. It was handbuilt and would last three times as long as an ordinary £20,000 Ford or Vauxhall in similar use so that is why it was such a good vehicle. They make 20,000 cabs per year and are going strong.

Thy are not built well, they leak water, are not that comfortable, and noisy, but do their job well.
