I have a tech problem
I was driving on a high way and there was a strong exhaust fuel smell in the cabin ,we stop the car and at the top of the engine there was a leak from a yellow button.What that can be?

Thank you in advance I hope is not something terible . What describes me is self-reliant adventure traveler to remote destinations where the journey is the primary goal. Thank you for the respond ,do you have an idea what to do and how dangerous it is since there is no (at the moment) have any visual problem on the defender . What describes me is self-reliant adventure traveler to remote destinations where the journey is the primary goal. The pipes in the picture you have posted are the fuel return pipes. These pipes carry the excess fuel from the fuel pump, injectors and fuel rail back to the fuel tank via the fuel cooler. As DG has stated they are a quick coupling and should be replaced quickly as even spilt diesel will burn if the engine is hot enough to ignite it. Do you get white smoke from the engine bay? If so then the spilt fuel is vaporizing on contact with a hot surface. Thumbs Up

Thank you for the respond ,I will fix it ASAP ,I hope I will find the part in Greece since is a rear model (most of defenders are V8 ones) also the criss is a big problem with keeping stock.
