Er... am I missing something? just so I've got this correct:-
the argument that mobilecentre is using is that by fitting an led lamp into the original morris minor lens housing isn't type approved by LR. Which in some countries is a big issue, but currently in the UK it's not so much of a problem (currently)?

On my 90 I have front white LED side lights and rear LED stop/tails - works for me, they don't blow and pass MOT's fine

Me too! Less power drain if leaving side lights on when parked up at night in certain situations. LANDYWATCH

There has been a few tweaks shall we say to the MOT checks to bring them somewhere near the current century Rolling with laughter

LEDs should be checked in the new regs they may not choose to give a fail or advisory or pass

Only time will tell

The number of people on the roads at the moment with faulty side, stop/tail and headlights is a joke. By installing led side/stop/tail lights this reduces the chance of them failing.

I believe its more dangerous and illegal to install HIDs but again the police don't seem bothered, there seems to be a spate of merc vans with badly adjusted HIDs around the A303 at the moment

Had a Rozzer in to take a statement re a Vandalized motor last week

Escorting them out I pointed out a Motor that had been in a fault RTC I pointed out the tyres which were down beyond the wear bars with cords showing and to gauge a reaction I said well perhaps if this person checked the tyres they would have stopped in time. I was astounded to the lack of interest and the shrug of the shoulders and then they said well we are too busy to check cars

I give up

It is a problem in the UK as it is a legal requirement same as tyres having tread etc, but you will not receive points for it I should add!

Hello from Dubai.

I just upgraded my headlamps to the LED Truck-lite, I would like to replace the bulbs of the front side lights to LED as well.
Can someone please direct me to the exact model that will fit in place? Any link or picture of the bulb?

Thank you. Karim Saad
