Ifor Williams DC Canopy.
Got hold of a Ifor canopy for the Double Cab, Has the solid rear tailgate with window. I would like to fit a pair of Gas struts to keep the tailgate up , Anyone know the rating and size of the struts required... Question

It is usually printed on the side of the strut.

Ifor williams have them at £90+vat and postgage, but am sure I can get them cheaper !

Tks

Nigel.

Last time I did somehting like this I weighed the panel with a spring balance then went to Struts Direct and selected the appropriate stroke and size of strut. I can't remember how much they were but it was a lot less than that.

I've been meaning to do the same for my IW top but never seem to get round to it. Mine doesn't have the window so is probably lighter than yours.
