If you have an adjustable tow bar with a slider plate have a look at it. Grip the towball and shake it and see if there is movement between the plate with the tow ball and the slider plate. If so this can knock going over bumps. Had this problem on the 2011 Puma. A bit of thinrubber wedged between the sliderplate and tow ball plate sorted it.A long shot but worth checking out. 1982 88" 2.25 diesel
