If you are not lucky enough to have FTTC (infinity) or Cable then you are stuck with ADSL or ADSL2. If you are on ADSL then there is a possibility you can override the BT allocated speed and get a faster connection. In my case I went from 13mb to 17.2mb. So well worth the effort.
The process relies on you having a compatible router, fortunately most of the common ones are covvered. Have a look at this site in google and let it translate, then search for your router model. Download the dmt.exe program corresponding to your router model. Then follow this guide. It's not that complicated and you cant screw anything up, just turn your router off/on if you get stuck and any changes you made are lost. Pom |
