Likewise I think a change in forum 'rules' is long overdue .. on other forums i use they state in the posting rules that NO-ONE is allowed to post on a 'For Sale' thread unless they have a genuine interest in buying the item, or their post is to assist the seller in the sale. Ignoring this ruling earns you a temorary ban .... Guns and Landrovers .... anything else is irrelevant. |

That would be a bad move !! The banter is why D2 is so popular,,its not lost the plot, dry and draconian like "other" places California F1, 75th 110 "Kermit", 50th Ann V8, 90 V8 Hybrid, 55 Series 1 Main Brian James Trailer Dealer for South West UK |

To be fair I don't think there has been any malicious comments. The seller asked a question and a couple of people weighed in with reasons they were put off - answering the seller's question... so both of the posts I imagine you are talking about were to assist the seller really. I dont have any problem, gripe or feelings towards the bloke, just thought that if he added pictures he might get more interest... (: Good things come to the wild and free |

I bought an Engel MT45 in perfect condition from JSG a few weeks ago for £500, and I am very pleased with it. so maybe £600 does look a little steep.
I have to say what an amazing build quality they are in the flesh and how efficient, I ran it as a fridge at 5 degrees for three days to measure the draw on a standard Defender battery and could still start the engine. I'm not sure I would do that in the wild with a higher ambient temperature but it was amazing that it seems to draw so little. If I needed another one, having now had one, I am sure that I would pay £600 |

Well i disagree ... the For Sale section should be exactly that, we have all the other sections for banter and pi55 taking etc Guns and Landrovers .... anything else is irrelevant. |

The posts on this thread were ok as you say, not really malicious in any way ... but it does seem to be a trend of late to fill up a poster's thread with needless 'chat' etc ... we have a whole forum for this, it doesnt help anyone trying to sell things in the For Sales .. Just my opinion of course ............. Guns and Landrovers .... anything else is irrelevant. |

I agree with Dave. The FS board is not for banter, its for items and specific and relevant questions about said items. To make negative comment about price etc is to possibly up someones sale. It's uncalled for and ungentlemanly.

Stick with it Chris....it's a defender site if you threw in a high vis jacket, combat trousers and a bush hat, they would be gnawing your arm arm off.
Chuck in a rebel steering guard and a one life live it sticker and it's job done You cannot teach stupid people to do clever things |
