General AT
My 2011 came shod with the new General AT tyre( not the AT2) Seems to be a quiet, decent general purpose tyre and so far so good. Have not had deep enough snow yet to trouble it but have had lots of rain and it handles well. Anyway if you are interested check out the AJS link. They are a site sponsor.

Without meaning to be a bar-steward.

A grouse keeper friend of mine is currently running them on his Hi-Lux (his boss won't let him have new ones until they are worn out and they came on the truck). As an all terrain tyre he rates them in words that you can't put on here! He has always used the at2 from Grabber and liked them or BFG MTs. He just doesn't rate the new ones for mud/peatbog use that most AT tyres walk over and reckons they are good for road and grass field, nothing more.

Just another opinion. I haven't used them, but would tend to side with my mate (as we all would I suppose) Good things come to the wild and free

I put the AT 255/65/16 onto my old p38 before I sold it and they were excellent, and also used them on another Disco2. Normal road driving, snow and rain - excellent and they also look good. But it isn't a MT.

They might be a good tyre, but I personally don't think they look quite right on a Defender.

It's like a great looking busty brunette, wearing White Velcro trainers! (or those fake Ugg boots, where all the camber is wrong!)

AT2'S suck the fat one. And so does their maker, Continental. Fine for tarmac, not fit for anything else.

Maxxis, Cooper, BFG, proper tyres. General: I'd rather put wet paper bags round my wheels, they'd last longer.

I used the old AT2 on the 90 and they were great in the mud and snow. I also have them on the disco, they are going to be swopped out on Tuesday for the replacement 'new AT' which is superior to the old AT2.

The people who drive the chopped up knacker d2's round green lanes may still want tractor tyres but for everyone else they are pretty good, hard wearing and not too expensive.

Oh and the camp white lettering will of course be faced inwards. Mr. Green

BigMike - very surprised you say they are not long lasting - the set on my disco have done 40k and still have 4mm left all round. My Audi on the otherhand has had 6 tyres in its first 13 months!

Trust me [and others] Pom .. the 'new AT' certainly isn't superior to the old AT2 for any off road use - far from it Rolling Eyes

Prepare to be dissappointed Crying or Very sad Guns and Landrovers .... anything else is irrelevant.
