Genuine LR Roof boxes
I'm aware that some of you have got the Thule roof boxes on here but has anyone had and fitted the one for an Evoque? Part: VPLVR0062 Reason for asking is the one's for the Defender are silver and on a silver Defender is fine but I don't fancy silver on mine only gloss black. Plus the LR boxes are larger in capacity and size than Thule makes. Anyone that's got any picture's or link's/ suggestions would be much appreciated.

Thumbs Up

Surely, roof boxes are universal fit? I know Land Rover sell certain sizes, but that doesn't mean they'll only fit certain models.

Thule are good but there are plenty of alternatives. Just find one you like the look of. Of course, there's the obligatory warning about not exceeding the roof loading - if I don't say it then somebody else will Laughing Darren

Can't help you with a LR roof box as I have a Thule one:

Upside to the Thule was the quick fitting using the Thule screw clamps so it went off and on in no time. The thing about roof boxes that I have found is that I don't want it fitted all the time (height), and it does take up precious space in the garage even though it clamps onto a roof support. I used it all the time when caravanning as I also took an inflatable so all its gubbings went into the roof box, but since using a trailered boat the roof box hasn't been used since. Bit of a waste of money as it was only used a handful of times. Just my tuppence worth Thumbs Up

Being LR and sold for certain models I wanted to check. The Evoque boxes are indentical size and capacity to the Defender one.
Brain, Thank-you for the pic of your box good to get lot's of perspectives Thumbs Up

They do but they're a lot smaller & I really don't fancy having Halfords stuff Rolling Eyes They also do Thule but as far as I'm aware most are quite small. It also has to fit my Mantec bars.

Thule do a wide range of sizes, as do Halfords and Kar Rite (and probably others). Take a look here: http://www.roofbox.co.uk/roof-boxes/. There's a load of guidance on how to choose the best box for you on there, amongst other things. Once you've found the one most suitable, check out eBay.

Don't be too dismissive of Halfords - their boxes get good reviews, as do Kar Rite and Kamei ones. Darren
