DVLA info on registering radically altered/rebuilt vehicles
There seems to be a fairly regular post on here and indeed other LR forums with regard to online auction adverts for trucks that claim to have been rebuilt whilst allegedly retaining donor vehicle VIN/VRN and the legitimacy of the build, claims of tax free status and so on......

I've found the following links to Direct.gov/DVLA info to be pretty handy for a general knowledge of what appears to be right or wrong, so thought it worth posting here too.

Registering a kit car, rebuild or radically altered vehicle

Taxing historic vehicles

I'm not sure if these links will cover every eventuality that crops up online but they're a pretty good rule of thumb

Will report this thread myself to ask Martin if he would make a sticky either here or possibly on the Ebay board Jon - 110 td5 [sold]. Currently Defenderless.
