Stihl are still made in Germany. The budget Huskies are now made in the far east. I would recommend the 018 Stihl (or whatever it is now called). The lads who do my hedge laying use them and they are working all day every day. My 023, which is the largest saw in the Stihl DIY range has been worked very very hard for 12 years and is still going strong. I also have a larger Stihl I bought last year. When I bought it I was debating getting a Husky as an alternative but the specialist I bought from had 20 or more Huskies in the workshop being repaired and only a couple of Stihls. Maybe he sells more Huskies but it kind of made up my mind for me.....

Thanks for all the advice , after listening to what has been said I have got someone coming in to do it for me and I will be a labourer to keep the price down .
Should be done at the end of this month . |
