Parking Sensors
Has anyone successfully fitted these? I have had a quick search but couldn't find too much on them.

Any recommendations for aftermarket kits? I am so hopeless at reversing and judging how much distance there is between the towbar and that poor little Ford Ka Rolling with laughter

Another Mod I want to do,
can you confirm the length of the cables from the sensors to the control box, I had been looking a Maplins kit but this looks like an easier install. DEFENDER 90 TDCI XS,

I hope everyone is well and your land rovers make you happy

Is there a problem because you would have to drill the rear panel and I assume its quite thick? I have looked at the rear of so many defenders and none seem to have parking sensors

You need to have a drill for the cables. Power from the rear reverse light. Easy job Discovery 5 td6 HSE Stornoway Gray Outback Engineering Limited Edition

You need to install the ecu on the internal part of the rear panel closer to the rear stop light. Discovery 5 td6 HSE Stornoway Gray Outback Engineering Limited Edition

Well that put the cat among the pidgeons.I use landRovers and don't polish them.To be perfectly frank if you can't park a 90 without sensors perhaps you shouldn,t be in control of any mechanical device, try looking in those shinny things on the doors they are not for putting your make up on with.I am a Agricultural/Forsetry engineer by training, but at present work in the motor trade mainly with Landrovers. It is amazing how mainy bumpers we replaace on Defenders,RangeRovers,Discos and Freeloaders. Most are fitted withparking sensors and cameras. The main fault is a loose connection between the seat and the steering wheel. Its never over in my land rover.

I've fitted a reversing camera, £15 for the camera and £18 for the LCD screen all hooked up the the reversing lamp. Before all the hairy chested dirty 90 drivers berate me, I hook up to a lot of boat trailers and this save me a lot of time as with a 3.5 ton boat you've got to be spot on. As a bonus I can get my 110 in 90 parking spaces Wink

Germany 2011 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 SW Baltic Blue
Spent a lot of time and money fitting a reverse-parking system to mine early last year. Sensors set into the rear towing step and wiring loomed elegantly up inside the tub... and then the Censored control unit broke again the other day (first one was replaced with a different model). All the beeping drove me so Censored mad, I ripped it out, stripped all the wiring, cut the wires behind the sensors and binned the lot. God doesn't want my Defender to have a reverse-parking system and I'm not going to disagree with him Evil or Very Mad

I was going to post this on the Grumpy thread the other day but I thought I'd get laughed at for fitting one... Tell someone you love them today because life is short.
But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing...
