MY2012 V5 error
Hi all,

My MY2012 110 XS Station Wagon V5 arrived with the model described as a D/C (Double Cab). This, seemingly, is not the first one to come through incorrectly.

If you have a new motor it is worth going over the V5 carefully. LR are contacting the DVLA to rectify the error this week.

Same here, caused problems with insurance quotes, and potential issues on resale, even maybe police etc "is that a cut and shut sir?"

Dealer has already had a new v5 sent to me which was the same, seems LR are sorting it out with DVLA at the moment so I'm still awaiting a new v5.

Ill post when it arrives.

my 2011 110 usw is also down as a double cab - blame the dealer who initiated the paperwork to DVLA when V5 was applied for

Wouldn't a DC also be on the £200ish road tax band. And a SW £400. Correct me if I'm wrong of course but I thought that DC's and HT's came under commercial road tax.

The problem seems to lie with the DVLA Chris as most are mistakenly listed as DC. The issue has come up before a few times but no one has been able to do anything about it. Sounds like LR will finally sort it for us all Very Happy '

My Utility XS is listed as DC too but in effect it is a double cab with van back that just happens to not have the division between the seats and the boot. I took this as being an ok definition of the Utility and no argument about N1.

Has anyone got a 2011 model year onwards Utility (10th VIN digit is B or C) that says anything other than D/C on the log book?

In fact just looked on Autotrader at Utilities for sale and the first one on there is listed as
"Land Rover Defender 110 XS TD DC UTILITY"

Another 2010 is listed as "Land Rover Defender XS Utility Wagon TDCi DOUBLE CAB 2.4 4dr"

Mine arrived back today (2nd attempt!) 110 XS USW

Its now classified as

Model 'Defender 110 XS SW LWB'
Body Type 'Light 4x4 Utility'
Vehicle Category 'N1'
Number of Seats '5'

So that's looking a lot more like it Thumbs Up

Read down a bit further and see there is a section for Sound Level! which is blank so presumably they can't put 'kin noisy' Very Happy

So if you are worried about the description, re insurance, resale etc then probably best to get it changed (I did mine via dealer, guess you could do it direct)
