2008 Defender 90 Puma 2.4 XS CSW Tonga Green

Light Force lamps - size, colour, filters

Just going through all the ebay options, 170s seem to have more wide filters in different colours, but the 240s are bigger...

They would go under the arch of my rubber A bar. Which size would fit best there? (Also do larger lamps block air hitting a radiator signifigantly?)

imo 170's look the best, 240s are a little too big 140's a little too small... obviously less / more light output but heres mine with 170's on the front

Well we will happily give you 10% forum discount off the average eBay price for Lightforce 170 striker lights

They are a good light with plenty of range.

Wire them through a separate relay and switch gives you a complete second light circuit which can be useful when the standard light stalk decides to melt on you.

Both fit, larger ones will naturally protrude further. I made my own brakets to fit the upper A-bar securing bracket points. No detrimental effect on cooling whatsoever.

170s I think (room for another in the middle

) . And I like Brendan's idea of a separate control so I could have them on if having to dip main suddenly.
