Would I have a DC100? Yes!
Would I have it instead of a Defender? NO! |

SO they've changed the wheels, the design team must be tired out after all that work.

I think we can take it for 100% sure that that is the finished design, there is no way LR would keep showing it otherwise.
All the talk about different design directions is just bull (imo) Hope the one change is a targa style roof the yoke in front of the jeep is nice how much are they in Switzerland ? |

It doesn't get any better! Still sucks!
I don't like the Evoque, it's another characterless SUV, but the Evoque cabrio is even worse! It's a common car! Doesn't matter how many car shows and sandy beaches they photograph it at, I still can't see a farmer throwing a lame sheep and a bale of straw into that thing, or 6 squaddies at in the back, or a Mountain Rescue team heading off up the Dales to rescue some lost walker....
That is NOT a Defender replacement. Maybe a bigger lifestyle version of the Freelander (ie. what the 3 door Freelander originally was before being just a school run mobile), but not a Defender. |

At least they got the message about not calling it a Defender. Defender can now die a respectable death (but will take a long time ) The DC100 is just a bit of frilly to put on the forecourt

The wife's words when she saw the DC100 in LRO? "Let's get new Defender quick!".
Therefore I take my hat off to Jerry McGovern and his marvellous team! |
