Air blasting up either side of cubby box!
Had this in the summer and forgot to do anything about it but cold air blasting up from around the cubby box has now pushed it to the top of the list. Is there a trick to this before I take everything out, hunt the holes and seal it all up, anyone know where the draft can get in from? Is it around the seat box/gearbox cover Confused

Maybe the cover plate under the cubby isn't sealed very well? It does after all just open down to thin air above the gearbox.

A thin strip of household draught excluder down the sides could stop the draught. 2016 D4 HSE

I noticed this on mine too (during my brief tenure!) and assumed it was a 'feature' of Defender ownership.

yer no doubt it is the tray that goes over the hole, bit of sealer or duck tape will sort it out or buy the sticky back foam from land rover and renew the strip on the tray Thumbs Up

that plate need some good insulation to be glued on it - on all surface. IN summer when temperature about 30C and higher cubby box becomes oven Puma 110
