don't know why (probably small man syndrome) but i really fancy fitting something like this to my land rover:
i did read about a guy who put a diesel loco horn on his series 3; has anyone else done or seen anything similar? |

A friend of mine has a loco horn on his Series I, which runs off a small air cylinder. It's unbelievably loud.
I think he gets about 5 seconds continuous use out of one full tank, but it's really not necessary to use it much to get the desired result! hi ken,
have you got that fitted? Is it a deep sound and do you need a propper compressor or just a mini electric job? |

I fitted a Grover Stuttertone horn as fitted to many US firetrucks to the last Td5 I had running of the onboard air & tank. I've got a video of it somewhere but can't find it at present - this will give you an idea anyway

TBH in the end I didn't use it that much. I've also used 100w Whelen electronic air horn units in the past too, thgese don't require onboard air [goes off to search for video].. ..like this http://youtu.be/boe00DCFtcw Steve.
