Oil leak advice
I have a oil leak, initally thought that it was the Wabco, however not so. On observation it seems to spray oil on the underside of the inlet manifold MAF. It sprays oil onto the feed pipe to the wabco and the wiring harness under the inlet manifold EGR injection point. My suspicion is the fuel low pressure / high pressure pump as it is the only component that has a oil feed. This is because the residue does not smell like diesel.Whilst I'm under warranty the dealer 1k/miles away, my time is limited re work and I like to spell any problem out to them. ( They all do that sir!) Big Cry

Sounds exactly like the symptoms I had when my fuel pump started leaking oil.

Nowhere near as bad as the vacuum pump leak but can be confused for it as they are very close together.

New O rings fitted by the dealer and problem gone.

Thanks Bob, I was thinking along those lines. Originally it looked like residual diesel from fuel filter priming at service, however diesel always smells of diesel and this does'nt. Very Happy Thumbs Up
