You say that he was claiming to be an Auto Trader, I would recommend that you report him to the local Trading Standards office in you neck of the woods.

I personally would suggest NOT confronting the chap, especially with big mates, not unless you know some Police officers as then you would be possibly liable for prosecution too re intimidation etc.

Keep it legal.

What is more important is is the car Kosher? That would concern me the most, the last thing you want is a "Legal Owner" turning up, or worse.

He may well be declaring them. The receipt I have is hand written. But does have the company name at the top.

I have done an HPI check on the car and it all seems to be on the level, I think the bloke is just a Tw4t

That sounds a bit more encouraging, I hope you get it sorted, i'll put a bit of a downer on the car I would think. I stopped at the early 9-3 convertable then came back to LR's

A pity you can't name and shame him as that could be construed as harassment/lible.

Funny you should mention that. As I was just sorting some stuff out.

DVLA sent back the V62 today as i forgot to fill in the VIN number on the V5 application. Rolling Eyes

BUT...............................i found this today, so filled it in sharpish.

Spoke to CAB and they have advised me to get the V5 back, than take county court proceedings for the cost of the key and any repairs i have incurred.

Not surprisingly i have not heard from EVS Ltd. The bloke really is a Censored You cant polish a turd!
