Tim: Thanks for the offer. I may drop in later this week if I get a moment.
Blackwolf: Lifting the Puma was not something I wanted to do, but every spring option other than Genuine Part offers one unfortunately. Looks like the Aussies have found out the Puma issue relating to drivetrain and front propshaft and I'd agree with what you have said, except that I've removed the Land Rover bumper and replaced it with an ARB type roo bar which is heavier than the original Land Rover bumper. It has also shifted the weight further forward by about 15cm, which may be the cause of the issue I have. The vehicle definitely drives differently and although it doesn't look too low today, the front end feels very different from how it did with the original set up. The Aussie forums are full of this issue relating to fitting an ARB/TJM roo bar and winch, so I will probably fit the 130/110HD front springs later this week and see what happens. |

Right, Got a moment today to get the 110HD springs fitted and the difference is like chalk and cheese. The balance is perfect on the road. Job done.

Brand new Genuine Parts.
You'll find that one spring is slightly longer than the other, but once fitted, you'd never know - either by looking at it or driving it. Logic is that the springs are matched to the existing dampers, so rather than try and take an alternative and mess it up, I went Genuine. Cheapish as well. Click image to enlarge |
