SHOCKING SHOCKING SHOCKING
first incident: Disco 3 drivers door wouldn't open internally and externally. It packed up at lunch time. My factory is only 15 minutes from the dealership so I climbed into the car via the passenger door and headed up there. I met the service manager and explained the problem. He very kindly told me that he cant help me now as all his techs are busy and I would have to make an appointment. told him what I though of his service and went down to Umhlanga LR (My dealership of choice) who replaced an actuator in no less than 5 min. 2nd incident: Defender 90 front drive shaft vibration, hot hand brake, loss of power on hot days, aircon doesn't work, suspect clutch plate is finished. I was going past the dealership and thought I would get them to test drive it and if they confirmed my suspicions they could order the necessary parts. As usual the same old fat service manager told me that he was to busy and couldn't even spare 5 min for a test drive. I headed down to Umhlanga again who are 3 times as busy as Pietermaritzburg and they were more than happy to spare 5 min for a test drive and were able to confirm my suspicions. Not only did they order the parts but they insisted I dont drive the vehicle and loaned me a very gay looking Freelander 2. Land Rover's don't leak oil, they simply mark their territory! |
